Webinar AIESEC for Students Council

On the 19th of August 2020, the students council, administrator and all students of St Nicholas School participated in a webinar sponsored by International Association of Students in Economic and Commercial Sciences (AIESEC). AIESEC is an international youth-run, non-governmental and not-for-profit organization that provides young people with leadership development, cross-cultural internships and global volunteer exchange experiences.

In the webinar, the representatives of AIESEC explained the importance of drinking eight glasses of water per day as it could boost productivity and our body’s health. They also explained on how to tell if our body is dehydrated or whether the presence of water is too much than the regular intake.

They explained that the color of our urine is a key detail whether our body needs less or more water. Dark-yellowish means that our body needs more water, while transparent urine or near transparent urine means that our body has too much water. It was explained that it was especially important to keep the water level in our body as regulated as possible. Too much water in our body could be deadly.

I personally enjoyed the webinar as they kept it semi-formal and they had plenty of questions prepared beforehand for us to answer in a fun way. There was also a ‘Q and A’ session for everyone to freely ask questions in relation to the topic discussed by the AIESEC representatives. (Jencellin FW- G12B)
